MILAN – Here is what Mattia De Sciglio had to say at a press conference during the event: The Sport for Change, organized by ActionAid and Milan Foundation Onlus:

“Sport was important for me, it took me off the street and I realized my dream. Many young kids today cannot find jobs. Sport made me grow with important values determination and sacrifice.”

“With my friends in Rozzano I have a normal relationship, we grew up together, they do not see me as a Milan player and this is important for me because it means that they see the humility that I have been given by my parents.”

“I was lucky enough to come through the ranks at Milan but the determination and sacrifice must be the basis. I’ll be happy to return to the Vismara to help these kids, I grew up there.”
