MANDORLINI: WE HAVE TO DEFEND WELL AND BREAK QUICKLY

MILAN – Inzaghi was not the only coach to hold a press conference this afternoon. andrea Mandorlini, his opposite number tomorrow evening for Verona, spoke to the press also about the tie against Milan. The report went up on the Verona official website. This is what Mandorlini said:

“We are fighting for our Serie A survival, they are not going through their best patch but they are still AC Milan. They are playing at home, they will want to win at all costs but we also have to pick up points to move away from the relegation zone. Moras and Ionita have recovered which is an excellent piece of news for us.”

“History is not on our side, last year we thought we had done it then Balotelli decided the outcome. We will play our game and do what we can to pick up points. We are happy to have Rafael back, Benussi will play tomorrow evening.”

“Milan are still Milan, like all teams they can go through bad periods but they have some great players that can decide a match. There are still a lot of points to be won but hopefull they will start bouncing back after this match.

Mandorlini also spoke about the difficulties Inzaghi is facing in his first year as a Serie A coach. He said: “The path is not the same for everyone, his has been shorter. Personally I think that experience is important, many have had to gain experience but now it is up to him to win the support by doing well and winning matches. Criticism is part of the game and you have to know how to play the game. Milan cannot be content with their position in the table, every season has their story and it doesn’t take much to turn a season around.”
