MILAN – New Milan signing Jose’ Mauri has given his first interview to the club’s in-house TV station the Milan Channel. These were the midfielder’s thoughts:
“I feel really good, it’s certainly a small satisfaction, but it’s not yet complete seeing as this shirt that I am wearing now is just the one for training. When I wear the real one, I will tell you the feelings that I have. I always want to play, never-mind for Milan! I am very happy and eager to play. I had already decided and the phone call from [Adriano] Galliani convinced me even more. I am expecting some tough training sessions. I have spoken with Gabriel Paletta (team-mates together at Parma, editor’s note) and he told me that training sessions are not that easy. I also spoke to him in January, he’s a friend. He has spoken really well about Milan.”
Mauri added: “Everybody is needed to ensure this Milan becomes great again. I will play my part and I cannot wait. I have always said that Mascherano is my role model and then Gattuso. I only hope I can win at least half of what he won at Milan. I want to play and I hope Milan gets back to the top.”
