MILAN – The Italy Under-17s have defeated Ireland 2-0 in their second match of the European Championships being held in Bulgaria.
Italy broke the deadlock after just 9 minutes when Milan’s Patrick Cutrone provided a sumptuous back-heel assist for Lo Faso. The azzurri doubled their lead in the second half through Mazzocchi. It means that Italy are now off the mark in the competition after losing their first match.
In addition to the aforementioned Cutrone, the following Milan players all started today’s match for Italy: Donnarumma, Llamas, El Hilali and Locatelli. Andrea Malberti was an unused substitute.
