AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari giving his declarations to reporters at the New York Cosmos training ground on Wednesday 23 July 2014. AC Milan are in the United States preparing for their participation in the International Champions Cup against Olympiacos on 24 July, Manchester City on 27 July, and against Liverpool on 2 August.
Muntari commenting, “We talked with some of the Cosmos players, they were friendly and it is great to be here in America. Cosmos is one of the most legendary clubs in football history, made famous also because Pelé played here. Some of my teammates asked me, ‘Look at the badge, are they the Cosmos?’ and I answered yes. I’ve already been to the U.S, but this is the first time in New York. We are Milan and we do not want to repeat last season. This year we will focus only on the championship and want to go finish in the top places. Milan is a family, you can trust ‘her’. The club always gives you what you ask for, and so each of us feels compelled to give his best to pay back that trust. It is good to know you are loved and to live in a place where you can find peace.”
