INZAGHI SPEAKS TO THE MILAN CHANNEL

< ![CDATA[MILAN- Ahead of his pre-match press conference, coach Filippo Inzaghi gave an exclusive interview to the Milan Channel. This is what he had to say on a range of themes:On attending the UEFA Elite Forum: “It was a great experience and was a great source of pride to have been invited. They were nice days and it was brilliant to see Carlo Ancelotti. However, we’re now focused on the Parma match.”On Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi who recently praised the Italian coach as a top figure in the sporting world: “The President is a dear friend and a person that I respect. We speak a lot and I am happy that he’s back.”Commenting on his first away match this Sunday versus Parma: “Tomorrow has to bring our spirit to life. I have to look at the performance even though results are important. Since Monday I’ve been looking forward to the match. I’ve seen the players and with this work and desire we will do well. I don’t know how far we can go but we can achieve good things.“On the visit of the President Silvio Berlusconi: “The strength he gives us is obvious. His visit brings enthusiasm. Football is based on results and one bad result can change opinions. However, it’s clear that we have to take things one day at a time but use this enthusiasm.”There was also a comment about his former players from the youth sector and the Primavera side: “I want to wish the whole Youth Sector good luck. They were two important years for me that helped me grow and I am now their number one fan. The team is good and they are coached by a very competent person in Cristian Brocchi.” On the recent training sessions and an update on El Shaarawy’s chances of being called up after his recent injury: “From the training sessions I can say that we’re on the right path. Lots of players went away on international duty and we also lost El Shaarawy. Let’s hope the international travels haven’t tired-out the players, but they looked good in training. El Shaarawy at the moment doesn’t seem like he will be called up. I am very sorry for him because he needs continuity and played really well against Lazio. It’s a shame for us as he was playing great.” Inzaghi touched on a few other points: “A squad has to always be compact. With my staff I will evaluate how to approach the match and take advantage of the characteristics of our opponents. We are Milan and we will try and have more possession than our opponents. I’ve noted good things from the new additions. I am happy with their arrival. They are professional, they train well and they all have different qualities.”]]>
