< ![CDATA[MILAN- Ahead of his pre-match press conference, Filippo Inzaghi firstly spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel. This is what he had to say:The coach started by saying the following: “This is a team that needs to work daily. We’ve prepared well. We have the final session today and we’re happy to be back playing in front of our fans. This squad needs the help and support of its fans. I’m pleased to hear the kind words of Chievo’s Eugenio Corini who praised our character. It means steps forward have been made.”About his role: “I’m confident otherwise I would not have accepted the task. We need to grow, it will take time. You cannot resolve all the problems straight away, it takes patience. However, the things that keep me calm are the attitude of my players during the week and during training. It leaves me serene. I don’t know how far we can go, but we will give it our all.”On Jeremy Menez: “Menez should train with us today and we’ll evaluate the formation after the training session.”On the Chievo match: “It’s a tough match. Let’s not forget they won at Napoli and that’s not easy. We need to approach it in the right manner but playing at home in front of the fans will be a big help.”Speaking about the club’s pre-match entertainment initiatives: “I think they are wonderful initiatives. Fans can get there and enjoy the show and be even more enthusiastic. Our players need the fans. I hope we can give them a great match and a win.”On the Cesena match and the formation: “I think that at Cesena we tried the new formation because of the attacking options and it’s right to have at least 4 offensive players always out on the pitch. We can adopt both playing formations. We had a very good first half, perhaps the best of the season and we really deserved to go into the break in the lead. In the second half we overstretched ourselves. I couldn’t make the changes in mind such as El Shaarawy as Zapata was sent off. These are things that happen and that make you change the ideas you have in mind. We’ll find the right balance to make use of the qualities up front.”More on the formation: “The only thing that counts is the attitude. They’ve all got pros and cons. The attitude and mentality make it your own. This side have tried both and in the right manner. It can change during the course of the match.”On Riccardo Montolivo: “It’s hard to speak about those who are missing and it’s not fair to those who are playing. However, he’s the captain, charismatic and important. He’s an example to everybody. I hope he gets back soon. He has a great desire to do so. We won’t take any risks with him.”On former Milan player Alberto Paloschi’s praise earlier in the week for Inzaghi: “I’m very pleased to hear his words. When I played at Milan I tried to help the young players. I knew I was his idol. He’s a good lad. I’m sorry that he left but at that time when he was sold we had Pazzini, Balotelli and Matri. We would have been selfish to keep him with those 3 players and a choice was made. He will have a great career. He’s a man who goes on holiday with his personal trainer. They are the things that make the difference.”]]>
