(IN THE PHOTO: Keisuke Honda)MILAN – After only a few months with the team Keisuke Honda is already settling into his new life in Italy. In the interview with the Gazzetta, the player comes through as confident and determined in an interesting interview helping the fans to understand something of the character of Milan’s first ever Japanese international:
“Playing good football and bringing fans to the stadium is one of my ambitions. Our job is one of constant growth. I knew the club were in difficulty but I chose Milan as the team has always been my dream. I talk a lot with coach Seedorf and it’s easy for us to communicate as he speaks English. I didn’t understand a lot at the start and I used to go to his office to talk things over”.“I know that my first Serie A goal will come soon and it’ll be an important moment. I’m very determined and I’m here to become a champion with AC Milan”.“The staff here are excellent. Many of my team mates help me out. Kakà translates when I don’t understand something, Bonera, Abate and Montolivo give me advice. It’s all very important for me to adapt quickly”.“I’m very different to Balotelli in terms of lifestyle but we’re the same on the pitch and we can fight and laugh together. With his character, Mario has given a lot of emotions to the Italian people”.“I’ve been in Italy for three months now but I don’t go out very often. I like the city though and most of all the club. I enjoy pressure and high expectations. The derby against Nagatomo? An exciting game for everyone I hope. I chose the number 10 shirt and I was presented in great style. I know that people expect a lot frmo me but I’m confident and the critics won’t knock me down”.
