MILANELLO – The club president Silvio Berlusconi paid a visit to Milanello on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the squad’s pre-season tour of China.

Berlusconi arrived by helicopter just before 13.00 local time and shortly after headed to the club house to meet Mihajlovic and his coaching staff. The club’s CEO Adriano Galliani was also at Milanello. Commenting on his impressions of the squad under Mihajlovic, Berlusconi said the following: “I’ve been met by a squad that is very well organised and that is going about things in an exemplary manner.”

It was then the turn of the playing squad to receive a visit from the President before he sat down for lunch. Afterwards, the club-president gathered the playing squad and coaching staff together and spoke to them ahead of the pre-season tour to China.

The main issues that Berlusconi reiterated to the players and coaching staff during his speech were:

his confidence in coach Mihajlovic.
his belief in a competitive squad.
the importance of the pre-season tour to China, home to 103 million Milan fans, a big chunk of the total 270 million Milan fans across the whole of Asia. With this in mind, the matches against Inter and Real Madrid take on added significance for the rossoneri.

The club president left Milanello just before 15.00 local time by helicopter.
