It’s a great day celebrating the birthday of ex Italy and AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini! Yep. Maldini born in Milan, Italy on June 26, 1968. Maldini is the absolute “icon” of the great AC Milan being the Capitano. Maldini played only for one team, yes, that team is AC Milan. Imagine, a player dedicated to the team of his heart, “La squadra del cuore.” Maldini retired in 2009 when he was 41 years old playing 902 matches and lifted 26 trophies.
Surely, Italian Soccer Serie A blog by Anna Italia joins AC Milan and all Maldini fans to wish him a happy birthday.
Maldini won with AC Milan:

- 7 Serie A Scudetto,
- 1 Coppa Italia,

Maldini made his debut with the Italian National Football team in 1988 playing a total of 14 years with the Azzurri. Maldini retired from the Nazionale in 2002 having 126 appearances, three European Championship participations and four FIFA World Cup participation. Maldini reached the finals with the Italian National team in the 1994 World Cup and Euro 2000, and the semi-finals of the 1990 World Cup and Euro 1988.
