🏆👉 Senegal won the FIFA World Cup Group A defeating Qatar on Monday 21 November 2022 at the Al Thumama Stadium in Al Thumama, Qatar. Senegal relaunched themselves in terms of qualifying while Qatar hangs on to a small hope despite the two defeats in the first two games. It’s the first victory in this World Cup for Senegal which got a controlled match for long stretches. Senegal who takes the lead at the end of the first half with Salernitana player Boulaye Dia and then doubles in the second half with Diedhiou. Qatar starts to create chances and shortens the gap with Muntari but soon after Dieng restores the gap and definitively closes the match.
In the third game, Senegal will play against Ecuador while Qatar will challenge the Netherlands.

Senegal increased the score in the 48th minute. Famara Diédhiou scored with a headed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Ismail Jakobs with a cross following a corner conceded by Abdelkarim Hassan.

Qatar shortened the distance in the 78th minute. Mohammed Muntari defeated Senegal goalkeeper Édouard Mendy with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Ismaeel Mohammad. This is Qatar’s first goal in a World Cup
