DIEGO LOPEZ TO THE MILAN CHANNEL: “Fight until the end for a European finish.”

MILANELLO – Spanish shot-stopper Diego Lopez spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel earlier today. Here were his comments the day after the derby with Inter:

“I think that they did better in the final stage, but we could have won and it was a balanced match. The team did very well in defence. In the second half they created more chances as we were tired.
We are doing better at the back. I think it is just the results that are missing. We’re improving in terms of our performances and our desire.
The past two draws complicate our European hopes, but we have to keep trying. There are still 7 games to go and there are still lots of points up for grabs. We have to keep fighting right until the end for a European finish. Then, we will see what happens. We always play to win.
I picked up an injury last week but I was still able to play. I have to thank the medical staff because they put me in a condition to play. We have close to a full squad available. This is also important for our training sessions and for the competition for places.
Suso has enormous qualities and he has slowly settled. He arrived in a difficult moment, but he did well against Inter and I hope that he can continue like this.”
