MILAN – Giovanissimi Nazionali coach Omar Danesi has been speaking after his team were knocked out of the Final Eight by Parma at the semi-final stage: “I feel that the youth sector has made great progress, we have our idea of how to play from the youth team throughttp://admin.acmilan.com/breaking_news/admin/createh to our team. I do not want to say we are revolutionising Italian football but we just believe in going down this route which we feel is the right one. We are working for the future.
“Maybe in this game we lacked a bit of belief but we are taking youngsters at eleven and our job is to improve them firstly and not think about results. When you are working on their technica side and their movement on the pitch then sometimes you lose the competitive aspect in a match but it is improving performance that counts. It is one stage in their journey to maybe making the first team.
“I would say Milan deserve a ten out of ten for the way we play the game and maybe we need to work on aspects such as closing space and working on our counter-attack, our finishing but we are pleased overall.
“I have to talk to management about my own future but I feel I can remain in the Rossoneri family. We will see what happens.”
