MILAN – Milan Allievi coach Riccardo Monguzzi spoke to the Milan Channel after his side’s fourth place finish at the youth tournament the Al Kass International Cup in Doha, Qatar. These were his thoughts:

“It was an important experience for us on many levels. First of all, it gave us the chance to test ourselves against top level sides. We took on the best clubs in the world. We also performed well, even if towards the end we were a bit tired. We showed that something is changing in terms of the attitude. Something has changed in terms of the performances and it’s worth remembering that we had many under age players with us. Sao Paolo really struck me for their quality and solidity. We went behind in the semi-final but until the 80th minute we tried to turn things around. We’re very happy with the players and they fought right until the end to turn the result around. Against Arsenal as well we also had our chances. It’s not just a sporting experience, but above all a life experience. This experience has given us some important information about these players’ future.”
