Change project: Change is at stake

Today, the youngsters in the Play for Change project challenged Bollate secondary school pupils to a volleyball, basketball and five-aside football tournament.

3 sports for 60 youngsters: for the whole morning, the Bollate and Limbiate Play For Change teams took turns to play against the pupils of the Da Vinci and Montale schools of Bollate.

Between matches and prize presentations in the morning, we presented our projects and took advantage of the presence of two special guests – Alberto Grassi, deputy major of Bollate, and Lucia Albrizio, councillor for sport.

All participants were presented with a special gift from Fondazione Milan handled by Franco Baresi in person. To reward the commitment of the team that achieved the best results in the 4 sports, the 15 youngsters were given Milan backpacks.

This was just one of the many activities planned for 2016. Getting the others started needs everybody’s help and everyone can contribute.

How? A simple, positive start would be to run, even virtually, the Milano Marathon with us to raise funds on the Rete del Dono.

We get these teenagers to play, but changing them is not a game: help us to accomplish it.
