MILAN – Jeremy Menez completed a week that saw him sign a contract that makes him a Milan player until June 30th, 2017.
The Frenchman arrived at La Madonnina clinic in Milano at 8.37 on Thursday to undergo medical tests, where he spoke exclusively to Milan Channel,
"I am extremely pleased to be here. I chose Milan because Milan are always Milan, even if they had some difficulty last season. We hope to return to winning ways and lift an important trophy. It is clear that the coach, Filippo Inzaghi, is charged up for the season ahead and is keen to win with Milan as coach just as he did as a player. My priority is Milan, coming eighth is not a good thing. We must finish among the top three with the aim to win Serie A. We have to work a lot and then we’ll see. We hope we can do well in the season to come. I can assure the fans that I will give everything I’ve got on the pitch and we hope to reward the fans with a trophy because this club deserves it. Forza Milan, and a big hello to all the fans."
Menez touched down at 20.56 on Wednesday at Milan’s Linate airport from Paris Orly. Other than journalists, welcoming the France international as he disembarked was Adriano Galliani.
The Milan joint-Chief Executive and Menez ate together that same evening at the city’s noted restaurant, Giannino’s. To view the photo, click here.
