MILAN – Atalanta came back from behind to win 2-1 versus Milan on Sunday afternoon.

Luiz Adriano opened the scoring after just five minutes converting from the penalty spot after Stendardo had previously handled the ball inside the area.

De Sciglio and Bertolacci then both found themselves in good shooting positions, but neither one could hit the target.

Atalanta closed out the first half strongly, and after a period of sustained pressure, found the equaliser courtesy of an acrobatic effort on the stroke of half-time by Mauricio Pinilla.

The hosts went on to complete the comeback on 63 minutes when Papu Gomez fired beyond Donnarumma at the near post following an assist from De Roon.

Carlos Bacca saw a header go over the bar while Mario Balotelli sent Marco Sportiello into a flying save with a swerving free-kick from distance, but Milan were unable to find an equaliser.

Here are the stats to emerge from the game in Bergamo:

127 – the days since Luiz Adriano had last scored in Serie A. Before breaking the ice in Bergamo on Sunday, his last goal in the top-flight was versus Sampdoria at the San Siro.

20 – the number of points collected by Milan in the 12 rounds in the second half of the season: the exact same amount from the first 12 rounds of the season. The Rossoneri have collected 5 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats from the past 12 league matches.

7 – the number of goals scored by Milan in the opening quarter of an hour this season.
