MILAN – Ahead of the Asian Cup Group D game against Iraq on Friday in Brisbane (Australia) and after Japan’s 4-0 win over Palestine in the opening game where he scored, Keisuke Honda said:

“It is positive what we’re doing in the Asian Cup with our work but we must still improve and eliminate some mistakes. We must always be in control of the game in order to play our best. Even if it was a penalty it is always important to score, it gives me confidence, even if I have to work more and more in order to improve. Now we have difficult games and starting next against Iraq it would be important to go ahead as that would allows to approach the game with confidence.”
