ALBERTO ZACCHERONI: “Honda is an important Milan player”

< ![CDATA[MILAN - Former Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni was interviewed by the Milan Channel earlier and said the following about Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda:“All those that were asked to give their opinion on Honda spoke well about him. The Milan shirt is a big responsibility and Milan need players suited to the fine tastes of their fans. Keisuke Honda has lots of personality and technique, he knows how to play as a wide player and behind the striker, he can lead others. I think he’s an important player for Milan. He’s just missing speed. He is quick with his execution, but not in terms of running. If he starts off a long way from goal, he doesn’t have much influence. He’s more decisive behind the strikers, if the side pushes up high he can play wide on the right. If Milan play a 4-3-3 that seeks to win possession back in the middle of the pitch, then that would be perfect for Honda. He speaks a lot with the coach and wants to understand the tasks he’s been given. He started the pre-season preparations from the beginning and this will give him an advantage. I know Milan and Honda well enough to know that this year Honda will do well.I don’t know Torres personally, but I don’t think there is a player in the world who would arrive at Milanello and struggle to find the motivation to do well. You breathe in history at Milanello.”]]>
