The players gathered on the raised pitch and went through a warm-up which included some stretching and running. They then went through a possession drill of 4 against 4 with two and then three free players.
There then followed a number of running exercises, increasing the distance and pace each time before a sharp 11-a-side match on a reduced sized pitch. The session ended with further athletic work on the lower pitch.
Abate was back in training while Romagnoli was out with a high temperature.
