It’s official.  AC Milan sacking Coach Vincenzo Montella on Monday 27 November 2017 and replacing him with legendary player Gennaro Gattuso.

It was about time to make the change as AC Milan ended with a home goalless draw on Sunday 26 November AC Milan 0 – 0 Torino at the San Paolo Stadium.   Up to Serie A Week 14, AC Milan is in the 7th position with 20 points winning 6 games, 2 draws and losing 6 games.    Imagine the gap with Napoli in the first position with 38 points!   AC Milan must revive and gain their historical grandiosity which right now is only a shadow.    Let’s hope Gattuso, who was coaching Milan Youth team, can make a difference.

It was already a tough situation for Montella because the team could not even score….  The match against Torino was their fourth consecutive home game without scoring a goal.

AC Milan announce to have parted ways with coach Vincenzo Montella. We are very grateful to Mr. Montella and his staff for all the work done up to today, their commitment and professionalism. Management of the first team is entrusted to Gennaro Gattuso, who leaves his position as Primavera coach and to whom AC Milan wish the best of luck. A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow to present the new coach at Milanello training centre.
