AC MILAN 30 YEARS OF HISTORY, 16 February

 

On 16th February 1986 Milan played their last game before Silvio Berlusconi took over the club.

 

MILAN – Today, 30 years ago, Milan was still not owen by Silvio Berlusconi but it was in the process of becoming so. Four days later the documents were signed and the club was handed over to the president.

But exactly 30 years ago, on February 16th 1986, Milan played their last game before Silvio Berlusconi took over. It was Como-Milan 1-1 in the very stadium that two years later Milan celebrated their 11th scudetto, the first with Berlusconi at the helm. Back then it was round 21 and the goals were scored by Stefano Borgonovo for the home side and by Andrea Icardi for the rossoneri.

Paolo Berlsuconi was in the stands for that match, in the presence of Rosario Lo Verde and Gianni Nardi, who went on to become the president and vice president of the club.
