17 JUNE, 2001: CESARE MALDINI’S LAST AS MILAN COACH

MILAN – Cesare Maldini passed his last day as Milan coach exactly 13 years on June 17th, 2001 in Reggina 2-1 Milan. One month before he had masterminded the much-clebrated 6-0 derby win. After the final part of the 2000/01 Serie A season, Maldini returned as coach for Paraguay, leading the South Americans to the Last 16 of the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
