Congratulations to Venezia Football Club, or simply Venezia, on their fantastic promotion to the 2024-2025 Italian Serie A!  They achieved this milestone on Sunday, June 2, 2024, with a narrow 1-0 victory at home over Cremonese in the second leg of their playoff final, highlighted by a historic goal from striker Cristian Gytkjaer.

Venezia Football Club will be joining Parma and Como, who secured their return to Serie A earlier in May by finishing in the top two positions of Serie B. The club is based in the stunning city of Venice, Veneto. Again, welcome to the Serie A!

  • Venezia was founded 14 December 1907 as Venezia Foot Ball Club. Nicknames include:

  • Venezia, who finished third in Serie B, return to the top flight following a two-year absence. Venezia were relegated in 2021-22 when they finished bottom of the league. Following the promotion, Venezia marks the club’s 14th appearance in Serie A within its club’s long history.
  • Venezia’s biggest achievement winning the Coppa Italia in the 1940–41 season. In the following season Venezia got their highest Serie A finish of third place.
