🏆👉  The battle of the “5”.  Lazio ended the Europa League Group Stage – Group F Matchday 4 game with a draw on Thursday 13 October 2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy.   A point for each makes group F very close, given that all four teams are 5 points two days from the end. A match full of emotions but very foul ends in a draw. Lazio took the lead in the first half with a penalty kicked by forward Ciro Immobile, Sturm Graz found a draw with Bøving. Pedro puts the home team back in the lead, but it is still Bøving who reaches Lazio. In the Biancocelesti, Lazzari was expelled.

Referee Sascha Stegemann gave a penalty to Lazio conceded by David Affengruber. Forward Ciro Immobile converted the penalty with a right-footed shot to the center.

Sturm equalized for the 1-1 in the 56th minute. William Boving defeated Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Alexander Prass.

Lazio took the lead in the 71st minute. Pedro scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Felipe Anderson.

Sturm equalized for the 2-2 in the 83rd minute. A brace by William Boving with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Tomi Horvat.

Stats before the game. Lazio have recorded two wins and two losses in four home games against Austrian sides, losing their only previous home game against Sturm Graz in 2002/03 in the UEFA Cup.  Sturm Graz’s only win in five away games against Italian sides came against Lazio in December 2002. The Austrian club’s last game in Italy ended in a 1-0 defeat to Juventus in August 2010 . Lazio have remained unbeaten in their last six Europa League home games (3W, 3N), after having recorded a series of three defeats in their previous four home games (1W).  Sturm Graz have lost three straight away games in Europe and could come to four straight defeats for the first time since November 1999, with the fourth recorded in that case against an Italian team (Parma).  Seven of Lazio’s last eight victories in European competitions have come at the Olimpico, including the only one in this edition of the Europa League (4-2 v Feyenoord on matchday one).
