Wake up call for Inter remaining in the last position with just 3 points having won only 1 game. Sadly, Interim Coach Stefano Vecchi could not revive this agonizing Inter after the sacking of coach Frank De Boer. Tough for Inter as stats showing Inter without a victory in five European away games. Southampton now remained unbeaten in seven European home games (W7 D4).
Inter forward Mauro Icardi opening the score in the 33th minute. A bim bam boom action started with Ivan Perisic attempting to score while Southampton defender clear, but the ball remaining in the area and there you go … Icardi turning to smack a goal with a left footed shot.
