Fiorentina needed a victory with more than 3 goals without conceding. Yet, everything went wrong! It is Sevilla to open the score in the 22nd minute with forward Carlos Bacca defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto with a right footed shot in the top right corner from close range. The assist is by midfielder Éver Banega with a cross. The aggregate now is 0 – 4.
Five minutes later, Fiorentina conceding another goal and my friends I am in total shock!!!!! Fiorentina forgot they were supposed to play their best game today! In the 27th minute, the goal by defender Daniel Carriço defeating goalkeeper Neto with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner. The aggregate now is 0 – 5.
No way! this is it. It’s just a total chaos! Incredible. Referee Damir Skomina giving a penalty to Fiorentina in the 67th minute conceded by Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak after a foul on midfielder David Pizzaro. Here is the U N B E L I E V A B L E action… Midfielder Josip Ilicic taking the penalty spot and it seems the pressure was too much to handle that he failed to convert the penalty sending his left footed shot way too high! Disappointment clear …. I need a Tylenol!
