Inter Coach Antonio Conte having the last training session on Thursday 20 August 2020 ahead of the 2019-2020 UEFA Europa League Final on Friday 21 August 2020 at the Stadion Köln in Cologne, Germany at 21:00.
As reported by Inter official website, following a press conference with Antonio Conte, Samir Handanovic and Diego Godin, the squad took to the pitch at the Stadion Köln, which will host tomorrow’s Europa League Final. Once they had finished their training session, the Nerazzurri returned to their base in Düsseldorf.
Referee Danny Makkelie of the Netherlands will be assisted by Mario Diks and Hessel Steegstra from Netherlands. The Fourth Official will be Anastasios Sidiropolous from Greece. The Video Assistant Referee will be Jochem Kamphuis from Netherlands. The AVARS will be Kevin Blom from Netherlands and Pawel Gil from Poland. The Offside VAR will be Tomasz Sokolnicki from Poland.
- Referee Makkelie , 37-year-old, has been an international referee since 2008. This season, Makkelie has officiated at seven UEFA Champions League matches, as well as at the UEFA Europa League round of 16 second leg between Bayer Leverkusen and Rangers in Germany. This will be the first UEFA Europa League final that Makkelie has overseen as referee, having been an additional assistant referee at the competition’s 2018 decider between Marseille and Atlético de Madrid. He was also the video assistant referee at last season’s UEFA Champions League final between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
