Ukraine winning the UEFA Euro 2020 Group C match defeating North Macedonia on Thursday 17 June 2021 at the National Arena in Bucharest. Ukraine celebrating their first win at Euro 2020 while North Macedonia losing both games. Painful defeat for North Macedonia becoming the first team eliminated from Euro 2020.

Highlight of the match seeing Andriy Yarmolenko and Roman Yaremchuk becoming the first duo to score in each of their team’s first two games in European Championship history. North Macedonia lost on Matchday 1 against Austria 3-1.  On Matchday 3, Monday 21 June, North Macedonia will face Netherlands and Ukraine will face Austria.

Ukraine opening the score in the 29th minute.  Andriy Yarmolenko defeating North Macedonia goalkeeper with a  right footed shot to the bottom left corner.  The assist is by Oleksandr Karavaev following a corner conceded by Visar Musliu.


Ukraine increasing the score for the 2-0 in the 34th minute.  Roman Yaremchuk scoring with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.   The assist is by Andriy Yarmolenko.


North Macedonia shortening the distance for the 2-1 in the 57th minute.  Ezgjan Alioski defeating Ukraine goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan with a left footed shot to the center.  The goal arriving after Bushchan saved Alioski ‘s penalty. This is Alioski’s first goal at a major tournament. Alioski not wasting his moment and on the rebound scored after his initial saved penalty following a foul on Goran Pandev.
