🏆👉 Napoli not only dominating the Serie A, but also shining in the Champions League. Napoli won the Champions League Round of 16, First Leg, defeating Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday 21 February 2023 at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany. The victory is thanks to the goals from Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen and Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo for the 2-0. Eintracht Frankfurt played with 10 players since the 58th minute after Referee Artur Dias gave a red card to Randal Kolo Muani for a foul on Anguissa. The man of the match is Napoli Mexican forward Hirving Lozano.
The Second Leg game will be played on 15 March at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Napoli had the chance to open the score in the 36th minute. Forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia failed to convert a penalty after Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp saved his right-footed shot in the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Aurélio Buta after a foul on Victor Osimhen.
Napoli opened the score in the 40th minute. Forward Victor Osimhen defeated goalkeeper from very close range with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Hirving Lozano with a cross following a fast break.
