✅  Stats before the game. After the 2-1 success of 5 February last, decided in comeback by a brace from Olivier Giroud, Milan could win two consecutive matches against Inter in Serie A for the first time since 2011 (the first two Derby with Massimiliano Allegri on the bench).  Milan have been without goals in the last two matches played against Inter, in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup between March and April 2022; the last time the Rossoneri did not find the goal for three consecutive Derby, considering all competitions, dates back to 1980 (three consecutive defeats without goals between the league and the national cup under the management of Massimo Giacomini). AC Milan’s last victory, as a host team, against Inter in Serie A, dates back to 31 January 2016, with Sinisa Mihajlovic as coach (3-0, with goals from Alex, Bacca and Niang); since then, three draws and three wins for the Nerazzurri, who remained unbeaten in the period against four different Rossoneri coaches (Montella, Gattuso, Giampaolo and Pioli).  Inter are the only team (excluding relegations from last season and newly promoted) that have not drawn even one match in Serie A from April onwards: for the Nerazzurri 11 wins (at least three more than any other team) and two defeats (one of which in the most recent away match against Lazio).
