Lazio win the Serie A Week 35 game  in extremis against Spezia on Saturday 30 April 2022 at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia, Italy.  The victory helps  Lazio to keep the 6th position battling for a spot in Europe.   Lazio have won four of their last six Serie A away games (D1, L1).  Spezia for salvation, fifteenth at +10 on the third-last Salernitana (who has a game to catch up), wants to score points to get closer to the mathematical permanence in Serie A.  Lazio, however, have not won in three games and are returning from two defeats against Inter and Turin. In the first leg, the second day of the championship, Spezia had lost 6-1 at Lazio.

Spezia opened the score in the 9th minute. Kelvin Amian defeated Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha from very close range with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Petko Hristov.

Lazio equalized for the 1-1 in the 34th minute. Forward Ciro Immobile converted a penalty defeating Spezia goalkeeper Provedel with a right-footed shot to the high center. The penalty is conceded by Dimitrios Nikolaou after a handball inside the area. This is a historic gol for Immobile scoring his 150 goal in Serie A with Lazio.

Spezia with a super fast reaction one minute later took the lead for the 2-2 in the 35th minute. Kevin Agudelo with a left-footed shot to the center delighting the fans.

Lazio equalized for the 2-2 in the 54th minute thanks to the own goal by Spezia goalkeeper Ivan Provede.

Spezia again with a fast reaction took back the lead in the 56th minute. Petko Hristov with a headed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Daniele Verde.

Lazio equalized for the 3-3 in the 68th minute. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The goal was validated after Referee Luca Pairetto consulted the VAR.

  Stats before the game.  Lazio have won each of their three Serie A matches against Spezia, but with both the sides  6-1 for Lazio in the fixture reverse, on 28 August 2021 at the Olimpico.  Spezia are one of the four teams against which Lazio have always won (also against Ancona, Fidelis Andria and Maribor) among sides faced at least three times in all competitions since the start of the single group Serie A (1929-30).  Lazio have won each of their last seven league games against Ligurian sides, scoring an average of 3.3 goals per match in this period.  Spezia are, along with Sampdoria, one of the two teams to have not drawn any Serie A home matches in 2022: three wins for the Bianconeri and four defeats.
