Napoli fell out of favor after abandoning the Scudetto race, now showing a moment of redemption. Napoli with a mega victory win the Serie A Week 35 match by crushing  Sassuolo on Saturday 30 April 2022 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Italy.  Napoli reached 70 points remaining in the 3rd position within the Champions League zone for next season.  This victory finds Napoli winning 9 of their 18 Serie A matches against Sassuolo (D7 L2).

Napoli transformed into a convincing Terminator and humiliated Sassuolo with a 6-1.   Koulibaly opened the score with a headed shot,  Victor Osimhen doubles always with the head, Hirving Lozano “El Chucky,” a brace by Dries Mertens and Amir Rrahmani sealed the win in the 80th minute.  The honor goal for Sassuolo scored by Maxime López in the 87th minute.

In the next round of the championship for Napoli, Sassuolo will play at home against Udinese.

Napoli opened the score in the 7th minute.  Kalidou Koulibaly defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Lorenzo Insigne with a cross following a corner conceded by Davide Frattesi.

In the 15th minute, forward Victor Osimhen scored for the 2-0 from very close range with a headed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Lorenzo Insigne with a cross following a corner conceded by Filip Djuricic. Osimhen (13 goals in Serie A 2021/22) has equalled his record of goals in a single season in the Big-5 European leagues (13 goals for Lille in 2019/20). Way to go!

  Stats before the game.  Sassuolo won their last away league match against Napoli (2-0 in November 2020), after having drawn two and lost five of their previous seven such games. Napoli are winless in their last three Serie A games (D1 L2); the last time they went on a longer such streak in the Italian top-flight was in December 2019 (eight under Carlo Ancelotti and Gennaro Gattuso). Sassuolo have lost three of their last four league games (W1), including both of the most recent two – only once before have they have recorded three Serie A defeats in a row under Alessio Dionisi, doing so in September 2021 (against Roma, Torino and Atalanta).
