AC Milan keeping up the race for the Scudetto winning the Serie A Week 35 game against Fiorentina on Sunday 1 May 2022 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. The victory secures AC Milan the first position while Fiorentina slowing down their race for a spot in Europa League next season. Third consecutive defeat for Fiorentina. For the first time this season, AC Milan have gone unbeaten for 13 games in a row (W8, D5). For the first time since March 2019, AC Milan have not conceded a goal in four consecutive home matches in Serie A.

In the next round, Milan will play against Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium while Fiorentina will host AS Roma at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

AC Milan opened the score towards the end of the game in the 82nd minute. It is forward Rafael Leão to defeat Fiorentina goalkeeper Terracciano with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

Fiorentina after a 4-3 win in the reverse fixture, Fiorentina could win both Serie A games against AC Milan in a single season for the first time since 2000-01 – 4-0 with Fatih Terim and 2-1 with Roberto Mancini. Milan and Fiorentina have not drawn in San Siro in Serie A since a 1-1 draw in October 2014, with goals from Nigel de Jong and Josip Ilicic – since then there’s been four home and two away wins.  Since the beginning of 2022, AC Milan have conceded eight goals in 15 Serie A games, only Liverpool (6) have conceded fewer goals in the big five European league during that time. AC Milan have kept clean sheets in their last three home league games and have not reached four in a row in the competition since March 2019, when Gennaro Gattuso was in charge.
