Torino win the Serie A Week 34 game defeating Spezia on Saturday 23 April 2022 at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy.  Torino returns to win at home after a fast of over three months obtaining their fourth consecutive useful result.  Excellent performance of the men of Ivan Juric, good at controlling the operations from the transformation of Lukic’s penalty up to the end.  Manaj realizes the penalty for Spezia at the end but it is too late to try to straighten the game.

In the next round, Spezia will face Lazio at home while Torino will visit Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium.

Torino opened the score in the 4th minute.  Sasa Lukic defeated Spezia goalkeeper Ivan Provedel converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.  The penalty is conceded by Martin Erlic after a foul on Antonio Sanabria.

It’s all Torino rocking with a brace by Sasa Lukic! Lukic increased the score for the 2-0 with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner following a corner conceded by Dimitrios Nikolaou.

Spezia scored the honor goal in the 96th minute. Rey Manaj defeated Torino goalkeeper Milinkovic-Savic converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the top left corner.   The penalty is conceded by Koffi Djidji after a foul on Manaj.

✅ Stats before the game. Spezia are unbeaten in three Serie A games against Torino, thanks to 2 wins and 1 draw .  Torino could become the second team to remain winless in four games against Spezia in the competition (after Cagliari).  Torino are the only team against which Spezia have kept more than one a clean sheet in Serie A: two clean sheets for the Ligurians, who have conceded only one goal against the Granata (Andrea Belotti on May 15, 2021).  After the goalless draw against Milan and 1-1 draw with Lazio, Torino could draw three consecutive Serie A games for the first time since February 2021: five in a row on that occasion.  Torino drew 0-0 against Milan in their last home league game: they last failed to score in successive home matches in November 2019, against Juventus and Inter.
Spezia have kept a clean sheet in three of their last five league games, as many as in the previous 16 – however the Ligurians have conceded seven goals in the other two (four v Sassuolo and three v Inter).Spezia have lost six of their last seven Serie A games played against teams with more points than them at the beginning of the matchday (D1).
