This is a game for salvation. Cremonese with a sprint race win the Serie A Week 34 game on Saturday 6 May 2023 at the Giovanni Zini Stadium in Cremona, Italy. Spezia got off to a better start and seemed in total control throughout the first half, but was frozen by Ciofani’s goal just before the 45th minute. In the second half, Shomurodov hits the crossbar at the start but it’s still the Grigiorossi who find the way to the net with Johan Vasquez’s winning shot. The final assault is useless, Ballardini’s team comes out with the three points from Zini. Cremonese is back in the running for salvation, now Ballardini’s team is within 3 of Spezia and (waiting for tomorrow’s match) of Verona

Cremonese opened the score in the 41st minute. Daniel Ciofani defeated Spezia goalkeeper Dragowski with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner.

✅  Stats before the game: Cremonese and Spezia have drawn in their last two meetings between Serie A, Serie B and the Coppa Italia (including the only precedent in the first leg in the top flight), the two teams only once registering more draws in a row in these three competitions (three between 1932 and 1933 – all in the cadet league).  Cremonese have won five of their last six home games against Spezia between Serie B and Coppa Italia (D1), keeping clean sheets in all of the last five.
