Sampdoria failed to win the Serie A Week 31 game against AS Roma on Sunday 3 April 2022 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy.  The victory helps Roma to remain within the European zone reaching 54 points ahead of Lazio, Atalanta, and Fiorentina. Roma get the three points with minimal effort: Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal decided the game.  Sampdoria increased their maneuver in the second half without ever managing to worry goalkeeper Rui Patricio. On the thirty-second day, Sampdoria will be the protagonist of the postponement at Bologna’s home while Roma will host Salernitana.   Sampdoria stepped down to the 16th position.

Roma opened the score in the 27th minute. Henrikh Mkhitaryan defeated Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero from very close range with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.
