AC Milan with a sprint race won the Serie A Week 21 game on Saturday 20 January 2024 at the Dacia Arena in Udine, Italy.  Milan arrived with a huge 3-1 victory against Roma behind them, and are in third place with 45 points in total. A different situation for Udinese, who occupy the 16th place in the general classification remaining with 18 points.

AC Milan opened the score in the 32nd minute. Ruben Loftus-Cheek defeated Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Théo Hernández.

The game was temporarily suspended following the racist abuse from some Udinese fans to AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Miagan.

✅ Stats before the game: Udinese have won the last two matches against Milan in the league and never in their history have they achieved three successes in a row against the Rossoneri in Serie A. After the 1-0 success at the Meazza last November 4, Udinese could win both matches in a single season against Milan in Serie A for only the second time, after 2016/17. Great balance in the last eight matches in Friuli between Udinese and Milan in Serie A: three successes for each side and two draws. The Bianconeri won the most recent one (3-1 on 18 March 2023). Udinese is the team that has drawn the most matches this season in the top five leagues: 12 out of 20 (2W, 6D). The last team to record as many draws after 20 Serie A matches this season was Torino in 2007/08. The last club to draw at least 13 of their first 21 matches in a single top division was Inter in 2004/05 (14 in that case). Milan won both matches played in 2024 in Serie A, in the previous 13 calendar years only in 2018 did the Rossoneri win all the first three matches played in the league – winning all the first four in that case, with Gennaro Gattuso at the helm. Stefano Pioli has won 99 of 165 matches in charge of Milan in the league, only four coaches have achieved 100 successes with the Rossoneri in Serie A: Carlo Ancelotti, Nereo Rocco, Fabio Capello and Nils Liedholm. Among these, the one to have crossed the finish line of 100 victories using fewer games was Carlo Ancelotti (165).
