Fiorentina and Lecced ended the Serie A Week 2 game with a draw on Sunday 27 August 2023 at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. The Viola dropped in the second half and suffered the reaction of the Giallorossi who deservedly managed to come back from a 2-0 goal deficit with the first goals in Serie A from Rafia and newcomer Krstovic.  Fiorentina stepped down from the 1st to the 4th position while Lecce went up to the 6th position.

On the third day, Fiorentina will play the away game against Inter while Lecce will host Salernitana.

Florence opened the score with a fast goal in the 3rd minute. Nicolás González defeated Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Alfred Duncan with a cross following a corner conceded by Marin Pongracic.

Fiorentina doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Alfred Duncan scored from very close range with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Arthur.  This is Fiorentina’s 4000th goal in Serie A.

Lecce returned in the second half motivated. In the 49th minute, Hamza Rafia defeated Fiorentina goalkeeper Oliver Christensen with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Lameck Banda. This is Rafia’s first goal in Serie A!!!

Lecce equalized for the 2-2 in the 75th minute. Nikola Krstović scored with a headed shot to the center. The assist is by Lameck Banda. The celebration is special because ii is Krstović’s debut with Lecce!!!
