✅  Stats before the game.   Verona have lost six of their last seven Serie A matches, against Fiorentina, at Bentegodi (1V); more generally, the two teams have not drawn at home to the Venetians, in the competition, since February 2000 (2-2).  Verona are unbeaten in four Serie A matches played on Wednesday (1W, 3N): all, however, played in the transfer; the Venetians have lost the last two on this day of the week, at Bentegodi (against Sampdoria and Inter in December 2020).  Fiorentina have not won in five matches played on Wednesday in Serie A (2N, 3P): Viola’s last success, on this day of the week, dates back to July 2020 (4-0 over Bologna).  Fiorentina drew against Sassuolo on the last day, after a series of 17 league games without X marks: the Viola have not drawn two games in a row in the top flight since May (against Juventus and Bologna). After the 0-1 defeat against Torino in the last round, Verona could run out of steam for two consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since October 2020 (against Parma and Genoa).
