  Stats before the game.  Bologna’s last Serie A success against Fiorentina dates back to February 2013 (2-1 with Pioli at the helm of the rossoblùs) – since then eight Viola wins and six draws.    Bologna and Fiorentina have drawn their last three Serie A matches at Dall’Ara: only once have these two teams recorded a longer streak of draws at home by the rossoblu in the competition, four between 1969 and 1972. Fiorentina have lost all of their last four Serie A away games and have done no worse since May 2008, when they reached five with Cesare Prandelli on the bench. Fiorentina have only won one of the last 10 Serie A games played in December (5D, 4L): however it is the most recent, 3-0 away against Juventus in the last championship. The Serbian coach coached the Tuscan team in 48 matches in the competition (15V, 18N, 15P between 2010 and 2011).
Fiorentina are the team against which Roberto Soriano has played the most Serie A matches without ever scoring or serving assists (12 total matches with the shirts of Sampdoria, Turin and Bologna).
