A flop for Atalanta failing to win the Serie A Week 14 on Wednesday 9 November 2022 at the Via Del Mare Stadium in Lecce, Italy. Atalanta have been losing points and are below the third position.  The party is all for Lecce claiming a precious home victory to move away the relegation area.  Lecce reached 12 points while Atalanta remained with 27 points being now -11 points below Napoli in the 1st position with 38 points.

The Giallorossi find their first success in the last home match before the break for the World Cup. Baschirotto and Di Francesco decide the one-two in the first half. First stop outside instead for Atalanta who miss the opportunity to hook Milan in second place.

In the next round, Lecce will visit Sampdoria while Atalanta will face Inter.

Lecce opened the score in the 28th minute. Federico Baschirotto defeated Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello from very close range with a headed shot to the bottom right corner following a corner conceded by Éderson.

Lecce increased the score two minutes after the first goal. In the 30th minute, Federico Di Francesco scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Lorenzo Colombo.

Atalanta shortened the distance in the 40th minute. Colombian forward Duván Zapata defeated Lecce goalkeeper Falcone with a right footed shot to the center. The assist is by Ruslan Malinovskyi.
