Stats before the game.  Inter have scored nine goals in their last two home games against Bologna in Serie A (2W), one more than in the previous eight (2W, 2D, 4L). Inter have never won against Bologna in the Serie A matches played on Wednesday (1D, 1L); that rossoblù is in fact one of only four teams against which the Nerazzurri have not achieved any success this day of the week together with Mantua (1N), Palermo (1N) and Parma (1D, 2L).  Bologna have won their last three league matches: the last time the Rossoblu team achieved at least four consecutive Serie A wins was in May 1967 (six in that case). Inter have kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven Serie A home games; since the last day of last season, no team has obtained more internal clean sheets in the competition (including Juventus at five).
