Milan remained unbeaten in 32 of the last 33 Serie A matches against newly promoted teams (W23, D9), the Rossoneri’s only defeat in the period against teams from Serie B was against Spezia on 13 February 2021 (0-2 ). After a run of two draws and two defeats, Milan won their last Serie A match against Fiorentina 1-0; the last time the Rossoneri won without conceding a goal in the competition they did so two games in a row (against Lazio and Genoa between September and October).
