Bologna win the Serie A Week 12 game on Monday 31 October 2022 at the  U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy. Monza collapsed after the winner goal by Riccardo Orsolini who scores his first goal in the league.
Bologna takes home three points that weigh like a boulder in the battle for salvation: Monza taking the lead with the penalty scored by Petagna, two minutes pass and Ferguson equalizes after Posch’s excellent throw.

Monza and Bologna meet for the first time in Serie A, but boast eight matches in Serie B (three wins from Emilia, one from Brianza and four draws) and three in the Italian Cup (two wins for the red and white and one for the rossoblú).

Referee Pairetto gave a penalty to Monza conceded by Michel Aebischer. In the 57th minute, Andrea Petagna defeated Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski converting a penalty with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Bologna equalized in the 60th minute. Lewis Ferguson defeated Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Stefan Posch.

Bologna took the lead in the 72nd minute. Riccardo Orsolini scored with a left-footed shot to the high center. The assist is by Joshua Zirkzee.

Bologna have never won in their last three away matches against newly promoted teams in Serie A (1N, 2P): the last victory dates back to the 3-2 at Scida against Crotone on 20 March 2021, while the last away win against a newly promoted in the first round dates back to 22 December 2019 against Lecce (3-2).  Monza comes from two consecutive away defeats against Empoli and Milan, while they have won the last two games at the U-Power Stadium (against Juventus and Spezia): the last absolute debutant in Serie A to obtain three victories in a row at home is was Frosinone in October 2015.
