Nicolò Barella scored in the 44th minute with a right-footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Alessandro Bastoni.

Sampdoria collapsed! Inter increased the score in the 73rd minute, Joaquín Correa scored with a right-footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Francesco Acerbi.

Inter have remained undefeated in nine of the last 10 Serie A matches against Sampdoria (8W, 1N), with the only defeat in the set on 6 January 2021 with Antonio Conte on the bench. Inter have won all their last five Serie A matches at the Meazza against Sampdoria: only between 1984 and 1990 did the Nerazzurri record a longer streak at home against the Sampdoria (six on that occasion). Sampdoria have won only one of their last 20 Serie A away games against Inter (2-1 on 3 April 2017, signed by Schick and Quagliarella) – 14 Nerazzurri wins and five draws complete the set.
Inter have not drawn in 20 Serie A games, their longest streak in the competition since the early 1940s (23 on that occasion) – the last team to have recorded 21 games without X marks in the competition was Lazio, between January and May 2021 (with Simone Inzaghi on the bench).
