👉 Parma and Empoli ended the Serie A Week 9 match with a draw on Sunday, October 27, at the Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma, Italy. Parma has secured their third consecutive draw, climbing the standings but still falling short of their second win in this championship. Their comeback was promising, especially in the second half, where they played with greater determination. They equalized in the 80th minute thanks to Charpentier, who skillfully turned in the box and found the net with an assist from Valeri. However, just three minutes later, Bonny missed a golden opportunity to put Parma ahead when he failed to convert a penalty. Bonny hit the crossbar instead. As the match drew to a close, neither team could find the winning goal, resulting in a shared point for both.
In their last six encounters in Serie A, neither team has managed to replicate the same result twice in a row: Parma has secured two victories, while Empoli has claimed one, along with three draws, including their most recent face-off, which ended in a thrilling 3-3 tie on March 2, 2019.
The action…
Empoli gained the upper hand in the 35th minute when Woyo Coulibaly scored an own goal. The sequence was a result of excellent teamwork, with Colombo assisting Gyasi on a well-timed run into the box. Gyasi’s low cross for Fazzini was slightly touched by a teammate, leading to a crucial deflection off Coulibaly that found its way into the goal.
