Lazio failing to win the home game and not taking advantage of Milan defeating Roma to take back the 2nd position. Lazio battled with 9 players, but it was punished by the ex Lazio player midfielder Hernanes scoring the 2 goals to give the victory to Inter. Lazio remain in the 3rd position.
Lazio opening the score in the 8th minute with midfielder Antonio Candreva defeating Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by midfielder Felipe Anderson. It’s the 9th goal of the season by Candreva.

Lazio remaining with 10 players since the 24th minute when Referee Massa gives a RED CARD to defender Maurizio after a foul on Inter forward Rodrigo Palacio bringing him down. Lazio captain Stefano Mauri getting a yellow card after protesting. It’s a free kick for Inter… Inter equalizing in the 26th minute with the ex Lazio midfielder Hernanes defeats Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti with a left footed free kick shot in the bottom left corner. It seems Lazio getting nervous and Marchetti also getting a yellow card…

What a nightmare for Lazio remaining now with 9 players!!! Referee Massa giving a RED CARD to goalkeeper Marchetti in the 61st minute. This is just getting wild!!!!! Here is the situation, Marchetti on his attempt to clear danger commits a foul on forward Mauro Icardi inside the penalty area. Fans and players protesting. Bottom line, Lazio cannot revoke Massa’s decision and will play the last 30 minutes with 9 players… hopefully, there won’t be more sent off players! Coach Stefano Pioli making a forced substitution readjusting the lineup and sacrifice forward Miroslav Klose to bring goalkeeper Etrit Berisha. Oh well….. You won’t believe what’s happen next… hold on, ok, finally without having enough time to warm up, Berisha had to face forward Mauro Icardi and BERISHA saves Icardi’s right footed shot in the bottom right corner!!!!!!
Lazio battled with 9 players and finally succumbing in the 84th minute. It is a painful defeat because both goals were scored by the ex Lazio player Hernanes! There it is the winner goal following a fast break with midfielder Mateo Kovacic providing the assist to Hernanes delivering a left footed shot which was more like a dagger for Lazio fans.
