Domenico Berardi achieved the remarkable milestone of 400 games for Sassuolo on Friday, August 15, 2025. He took to the field against Catanzaro in the Coppa Italia Round of 32.

This surely marks a special celebration for Berardi, who has donned the same jersey for fifteen years, starting from his first day with the Allievi to the First Team. Berardi stands as a symbol for Sassuolo, both on and off the pitch. He joined the club in 2010 and swiftly climbed the ranks: Allievi, Primavera, and then straight to the First Team under the guidance of Eusebio Di Francesco.

On August 27, 2012, at the young age of 18, he made his professional debut in the match Cesena-Sassuolo (0-3) in Serie B.  Berardi netted his first professional goal in a 2-1 win against Crotone at the Stadio Braglia on September 1.

During the 2015/2016 season, he helped Sassuolo finish sixth in the league. Most importantly, on July 28, 2016, he made his Europa League debut in Lucerne.  He converted a penalty to secure a 1-1 draw. In the return leg, he scored twice, leading to a 3-0 victory and advancing to the next round. This victory marked his first significant international experience.

Berardi continues to shine on the international stage.  He played a crucial role in the European Championship victory with Italy in 2020.
