Sampdoria has informed that they will wear a special kit in the last 13 games of the 2019-2020 to support the campaign against racism. The message “Stop Racism” will be on the back of their training kits during the warm-up and a special patch on their match shirts. This initiative is just the latest of the blue-circle social project Samp for People, which in turn will appear on the race jerseys with an unprecedented patch on the left shoulder.
Sampdoria Club says that the time has come to say enough and say it loud and clear. After the killing of George Floyd and the equality marches that crossed half the world – Including Italy – Sampdoria wanted to send their message on social networks, replacing the profile picture with a black silhouette. Because Black Lives Matter, all lives matter.
